Environmental Law Education

The goal of this activity is to broaden the offer of optional subjects from the area of environmental law and to increase the awareness of academe in the issues of environment and sustainable growth. Subjects allow the students to specialize and gain complex, practical and sufficiently detailed information from the area of environmental law.

This activity consists of 4 optional subjects.

Ekologický právní servis (Environmental Law Service) participates on implementation of this activity.

  • Environmental Law Clinic

The goal of this subject is to allow the students who are interested in specializing in the area of Environmental Law to deepen their knowledge and skills necessary for resolving practical cases and to try application of legal regulations from the area of Environmental Law in specific cases and case studies. Course is divided into six four-hour blocks per semester.

  • European Environmental Law

The goal of this subject is to allow the students who are interested in specializing in the area of Environmental Law to deepen their knowledge from the compulsory course Environmental Law with European dimension of environmental protection and to closely introduce them not only with respective EU law aspects but also with relevant case-law of the Court of Justice of the EU.

  • International Environmental Law

The goal of this subject is to allow the students who are interested in specializing in the area of Environmental Law to deepen their knowledge from the compulsory course Environmental Law with the international dimension of environmental protection and to closely introduce the students with the most significant international treaties from the area of Environmental Law and furthermore, with important international cases and relevant case-law of ECtHR and International Court of Justice.
